It ain’t the first Saturday I’m at work. But this is different cause everybody’s at work today. So there’s none of the usual Saturday working complaints. It’s a regular day. Just the thought of having a single day weekend…worry-able. I’m on the scurry, however, for my documents. Am to have a telephonic mock visa interview sometime this week with my counselor. Just to review the documents, which are yet to be mailed to mich.
Time’s a flying!
I get to see my bro and sis and aunt for a week. Thankfully I had the foresight to take a week off. Their sudden arrival has sent a ripple of contentment and disarray at the same time. There’s noise at home. All the time. I can’t hear it, but I know it’s there. J Nice feeling.
A roll of birthdays this week. My grandmum (today), seven friends – one for each day of the week since last Saturday, a cousin… And three wedding anniversaries in the following week. Just realized, we’ll be together on my parents’ wedding anniversary. Must do something special. Twenty four years. J
Was listening to Brazen Abbot this morning while I waited for the bus. Apparently I began to sing as well. I didn’t realize it. I enjoyed it. So no complaints. Of course, the fact that passers-by stared at me as they would a creature from outer-space didn’t matter to me cause that look I’m accustomed to by now. My existence has proved to be of an unnatural but enjoyable kind. I love me. I’m not being narcissistic. But it is required of everyone to like their own person. A little self-indulgence helps to keep the spirit high. Just a little. Not too much. It could poison us. It serves as a base for confidence even. But like anything that’s good or bad, too much can destroy. Thankfully I’ve been able to figure out the boundary within which I would be comfortable being egotistical. This naturally leaves a lot of space for misunderstanding…don’t think I’m explaining myself quite clearly…Funny.
