I watched the movie, I liked it. Then I realized that I had read the entire story in detail some five years ago. There’s something about the espionage thing that’s scary, creepy and enticing. Yes, I know, too many spy novels and movies. I just simply find it all very fascinating. Joseph Conrad, Ken Follet, Fredrick Forsyth, Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, John Le Carré and the likes *those are the greats of spy-fiction I mentioned, I know t-hehe* have always been in my family. Almost everyone reads, some of us got obsessed.
Anyway, the Breach, is about one of the greatest leaks in the FBI – American security, actually. Twenty years it went undetected !! So, yes, the story is fascinating. Chris Cooper’s done a great job in his portrayal of the agent who crosses over to the other side. I’d put off watching the movie for a long time, have had the DVD lying about for over three weeks, and last evening I watched it. I also ended up watching Quantum of Solace. All action, very little talk. We kind got lost in the midst of the action sequences. It was only when we were walking out of the cinema at one in the morning (because Mama as usual got the tickets for the last show of the day) that we realized the story line. It was alright, really. Definitely not boring…rather fast paced, leaving very little time for the viewer to think of anything else. I must say, Daniel Craig does make a pretty good James Bond – and I’m one who’s always loved Sean Connery in that role. He’d good.
Twilight isn’t releasing here on the same day as it is in the U.S. of A. Sad but true. Trying to figure out if we can actually fly to some other country to watch the movie. Not happening in a million light years, but it’s alright to hope and at least express this strange desire. LOL !!
My nails are still black. I can manage broken yet grammatically correct German sentences. I feel so much better. Pah! Those bloody mood swings! Mist! <- German, a swear word. About a few inches closer to finally finalizing the universities I’m applying to. Seven in all. Two of which have their deadlines in December. GAAH!!
