There are quite a few things that happen unbeknownst to the parties involved. It’s rather senseless, actually. Think about it. It’s your life and you’re not aware what’s happening in it. Sounds familiar? Maybe. Maybe not. Whatever. The point is if you (probably the best judge of yourself if you can bring yourself to trust yourself so much) don’t know, then who does? Besides, if someone else is passing judgment on you, is it wise, much less right, for you to believe in them, especially when you can’t believe in yourself?
I assure you, with the greatest of conviction, I am not drifting in to lunacy. It’s just a matter of perspective because I honestly believe that no one can really know oneself better than… well, oneself!!
Imagine you have your whole life cut out for you and you have the obligation and that God given sense of duty to follow that path and never once stray from it. Sure, you can do it if that’s what you want. But what if it isn’t? What if you want something that’s exactly in the opposite direction of the premeditated course? Would you be willing to give that up and just do what other’s want (and try and excel in it even if your heart lies elsewhere), or would you have the courage to stand up for yourself, or would you just put your tail between your legs and run like a coward? Blink, blink, blink. HELLO !! It’s your life !! Think !!
What gave rise to that? I’m really not sure but I believe it is the ongoing battle between people that I’ve been relegated to watch from the sidelines. Not that I have a problem getting involved in the crossfire but sometimes it’s just better to keep one’s opinion to oneself. It solves a hundred other issues that might just arise if one stepped in the way. Best way to retain your sanity, if you ask me, especially when you know that there’s no use trying to talk to someone…trying to reason with someone who is determined to fully blame (but not hate) someone else for the current state of events. I kind of got pulled in the situation inadvertently and to this day have no clue what the whole story really is. In fact, the few of us that were roped in to call a truce are still in the dark. So we did the only judicious we could do, given our amnesia from the finer details of the matter – we smartly stepped out of the way with no intentions of interfering until we are aware of both sides of the story. Though the opinions asked of us were many, we decided to remain neutral – no use bringing old disputes back to life. So until then, I’m waiting. Just waiting. Still waiting. But continuing to live my life. Sensible, don’t you think?
